About Us

Bike World Explore Myanmar (BWEM) run by an Australian / Myanmar couple named Jeff and Auntie Soe Soe. We offer excellent mountain biking on the outskirts of Yangon every Sunday morning at 6:30 am. The crowd is a mixture of locals, expats, and tourists. 13 USD will rent a bike and pay for the guide and transport. This is the great way to explore some of the local life near the city.

We also run custom bike tours in the country and quality of the mountain bikes is excellent. We also have bike shops in Mandalay (full service) and Bagan (rental only).

We just recently opened up a bike themed B, B & B (Bed, Breakfast & Bikes) hostel. We rent out four spotless rooms on the grounds of our home. Three rooms have a shared bath (with hot water) and one room has its own attached bath. The place will get you psyched up for biking and you can stay in rooms with titles like the Pedal, the Spoke, the Saddle, or the Crank. The walls are decorated with bike themed art and for breakfast you can choose from the local biker food or the foreign biker fare. There is a common room to hang out in with a reading library and lots of information on the Myanmar biking scene. If you would like to have a family friendly experience this is the place to come.

Price range from $25 USD a night to $30 USD a night (all rooms have AC, Security service and 24 hour electricity).

BWEM had identified several rides in the vicinity of Yangon and a typical biking holiday.

BWEM being a Travel & Tour company organises cycling tours to most parts of Myanmar. Popular destinations being: Chaungtha and Ngwe Saung Beaches, Kyaikhtiyo, Hpaan and Mawlamyine, Kalaw and surrounds, Hsipaw and surrounds, Bagan and surrounds, Chin State, Mandalay and surrounds.
